Author’s Note: Please read the description for what the reader is, I used a mixture of creatures and smashed their names together to create a new being.
You knew it, the moment you looked at him, it had happened. Your mother had been right about it being different from what was supposed to be an imprint. You did find him attractive, you mean just look at how hot and shirtless he is, but you did not LOVE him. Your mom had said when an imprint is done on your kind neither you nor the shape shifter will feel in love unless you truly fall for each other. But, it did anger you to know you had no choice in the matter.
“How,” Jacob trailed off again, trying to figure not how you could tell it would happen for it did. You simply shrugged and looked at the ground once more, to keep yourself from staring. He then suddenly grabbed hold of you and pulled you into a bone-crushing hug. Your face turned bright scarlet due to lack of air and being hugged by a hot shirtless man. You could not help but smile and hug back; you were getting a bit chilly.
“But, then what are you?” he asked after a few minutes of silence. You held back a smile as you pulled away with a blank expression.
“Wouldn’t you like to know,” you stated and started to walk off.
“Hey!” he shouted and jogged after you, trying to get the answer out of you.

He had continued to follow you, trying to get a real answer, all the way to your house and you stopped just short of your door. You turned to face the man who was now eyeing up your door.
“You know, following me like that is considered stalking,” you told him, opening your door slightly.
“You never answered my question,” he remarked, taking a step forward.
“Don’t have to,” you mocked going in your house and, unknowingly, he followed you in.
“Nice house,” you hear him comment, walking into the kitchen, which you were currently in.
“Thanks,” you replied, not looking up from your activity.
“Why won’t you answer my question?” he asked you, leaning against the counter.
“Does it matter if I answer or not?” you spoke, looking up at him.
“Yes, it would be nice to know,” he responded.
“Nymiadire,” you finally told him, causing his face to twist in confusion.
“A What?” he questioned.
“Nymiadire,” you stated simply.
“What’s that?” he asked, never had heard of such a creature. You shrugged your shoulders, implying if he wanted to know he would have to look it up himself. You continued to work on the food you were preparing, that being the only noise stopping this silence from setting in.
"Would you like something to eat?" you questioned, startling him slightly and it took all your willpower to keep yourself from laughing at his reaction.
"Sure, thank you," he replied once he calmed himself down. He watched you intently as you quickly finishing the food you were making, _(fav. food)_. You put the food on two plates and brought them to the table, being followed by Jacob. You sat down, him across from you, and started to eat the meal.
"Wow, this is amazing! You're a great cook," he said, breaking the silence that had set in within the few seconds you had sat down. You looked up at him and your eyes widened.
"At least chew the food," you told him, taking in the fact that the plate was now almost licked clean. He smiled at you before taking his dish to the sink and washing it off for you.

"Hey, come with me," you heard as you were about to sit down on your couch.
"Why should I?" you asked, looking at the man who had now spent the whole day at your house.
"I want you to meet the rest of the pack," he stated simply, walking over to you.
"The Pack?" you repeated, voice sounding uneasy.
"Yup," he smiled and pulled you up from the couch, leading you to the door.
"Wa-wait! I-I can't. I have... things to do," you quickly said, trying to break free from his death grip.
"Yeah, that is the worse excuse ever and you are still coming with," he told you as the two of you left the house and headed down the road.
