You laid there quietly as you listened to the steady breathing. Warm arms held you close to an equally warm chest, but it did not inhibit you able you look up. You were currently looking at your husband’s sleeping face, as his chest that heaved up and down against you. You could not help but smile at the man that you could proudly call your husband of one year to this day, Berwald. You frowned slightly as you knew you had to sneak away and leave the man your loved, but you knew it was for him so that thought alone made you happy.

You gently pulled his arms over of you as you got out of the large bed. You threw one of his large shirts on and quickly made your way to the kitchen. You got to work, making Berwald’s favorite breakfast as he sleep just a few rooms away. You only hoped you could get it somewhat done before the man woke up.

“Mmm,” escaped the man’s lips, as he awoke to the amazing smell of his wife’s cooking. He threw the covers off himself and exited the room, still only wearing his boxers and he came up to you.

“Good morning _(f/n)_,” the voice spoke, as arms wrapped around you so he could give you a hug from behind and rest his head on top of yours to watch you cook. “Smells good.”

“I would hope so, I’m making in just for you,” you replied with a slight giggle.

“That’s right,” he said as he opened a drawer you rarely used and pulled out a red velvet box and handed it to you. “Happy anniversary sweetie.”

“Oh Berwald, you shouldn’t have,” you told him as you opened the box and gasped. “Oh my, it’s beautiful.”

“Not as beautiful as you,” he whispered, cheesily, into your neck as he gave it a kiss. He took the necklace and put in on you, it was a beautiful silver-chained necklace with a pendent that contained a gem as blue as your loving husband’s eyes.

“Thank you so much,” you said with a smile, admiring the necklace as he turned you around to face you.

“Mhm,” was the noise he made before gently placing his lips on top of yours in a sweet kiss.

“Happy anniversary to you too,” you told him as you both pulled away for air. He smiled at you before turning his attention back to the cooking food, almost drooling. You giggled slightly as you turned back and finished the food off and brought it to the table. You both sat down to enjoy the meal in silence. It was not an awkward silence since you both where normally quiet people and you both enjoyed the beautiful silence that would always fall over you.

After you two had finished eating and brought your dishes to the kitchen sink, you went and cuddled on the couch with a warm fire in front of you. You smiled a small smile as you leaned against Berwald’s chest, listening to his stead heartbeat.

“_(f/n)_, I must be the luckiest man alive to have gotten you as a wife,” he told you, pulling you closer to him even though that was not really possible.

“Then I must be the luckiest wife to have you. I love you,” you replied, pecking is cheek lightly.

“I love you too,” he stated as he turned your head to pull you into a deeper kiss then the light one you had given him.
